Host Employer Success Stories
Suspension Concepts
Suspension Concepts is a supplier and manufacturer of suspension enhancement products, shock absorbers and engine mounts for fast road, dirt and tarmac rally, drag race and circuit racing production based vehicles. In 2011, their volume of business had doubled annually so their owner, Greg Nolan, employed a trainee through CCGT to pass on his 40 years of manufacturing, fabricating and motorsport experience and knowledge. Previously, Greg had trained 7 apprentices/trainees over 12 years. He enabled his new trainee to complete 4 separate formal qualifications and provided him with countless opportunities to attend Race Meets interstate and internationally whenever possible. His trainee went onto become the first remote TAFE trainee in Motorsport Certificate III and Production Technology Certificate III in New South Wales. In 2014, Greg sponsored five Year 12 students to attend a Process Manufacturing course at TAFE. He works closely with TAFE to develop and improve formal training in his industry.
